{"id":2748,"date":"2020-02-11T12:09:03","date_gmt":"2020-02-11T11:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ivcie.be\/?page_id=2748"},"modified":"2023-09-26T15:27:39","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T13:27:39","slug":"structure-of-the-irpc","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ivcie.be\/en\/structure-of-the-irpc\/","title":{"rendered":"Structure of the IRPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The IRPC is made up of a <strong>decision-making body<\/strong> and a <strong>Permanent Secretariat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #047dc2;\"><strong>The decision-making body<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The decision-making body is composed of nine members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>three members from the Brussels-Capital Region (and three alternates)<\/li>\n<li>three members from the Walloon Region (and three alternates)<\/li>\n<li>three members from the Flemish Region (and three alternates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Role of the decision-making body<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The decision-making body takes policy decisions on the prevention and management of packaging waste and convenes monthly. It also appoints an IRPC Chair on 5 March each year, alternating between the Regions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #047dc2;\"><strong>The Permanent Secretariat<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The Permanent Secretariat is composed of staff members from the regional administrations. The decision-making body appoints the Director and the Heads of Department.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Role of the Permanent Secretariat<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The Permanent Secretariat prepares the policy decisions of the decision-making body.
